Dear Parents & Carers

I am writing to remind you continue to follow the rule around Covid self-isolation if your child develops a temperature or new, continuous cough. There is a rising Covid rate and although there are fewer hospitalisations, the government rules haven’t changed and we are obliged to continue to follow strict rules to avoid transmission in school.

Currently, a large amount of Covid cases are spreading in schools contributing to the rise in cases of the Delta variant, and we would still need to close bubbles in school if they have contact with a positive case.

If your child shows symptoms in school they will be isolated in school and you will need to collect and self-isolate them. They will need to self-isolate for 10 days unless they are tested and receive a negative result.

Please follow the flowchart attached to this message giving the latest guidance.

Kind regards

Nick Dry
