St Nicholas School follows a whole school Pathway model where pupils are grouped in learning styles in order to meet the needs of all our learners, as well as offer an inclusive environment. There are five pathways in total (Discovery, Explore, Investigate, Adventure and Challenge). These are not progressive pathways. Children may move pathways as their learning needs change throughout their primary education.

Discovery Pathway

All of our Reception children start in this pathway so there are a range of learning styles and needs.

This is our pupils first step into their school journey towards developing learning life skills and staff spend the year supporting the children with school routines, communication, social and self-help skills.
